PGS is seeking an experienced, energetic, self-starting, problem solving Solutions Architect/Program Manager who is interested in assisting our client modernize an enterprise-wide system.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Serves as the task lead for the System Engineering tasks.
  • Reviews architecture, designs, and performs as-is analysis with an eye on an effective modernization strategy.
  • Provides enterprise, system and service architecture planning, development, and analysis including broad concept studies, identification of improvement opportunities, and preparation of implementation roadmaps.
  • Develops the technical strategies to insert improved technology into the national security system-of-systems, and to integrate legacy systems for the conduct of more effective multiagency systems interfacing with the multiple agencies.
  • Facilitates and supports the development of technical strategies that translate identified requirements into prototypes, then solutions, and ultimately into solutions within the designed architecture environments. These strategies should leverage a wide variety of solution approaches such as GOTS, COTS, custom development or Open Source.
  • Develops mission and threat analysis that includes analysis of existing and potential missions and threats, to support the development of products and processes for operational use. It shall also include independent analysis and exploitation of intelligence products, and the preparation of threat assessment packages tailored to life cycle needs.
  • Serves as the expert working across the Program to ensure technical requirements are being captured and delivered on schedule.
  • Analyzes risk to ensure technology alternatives and assessments of technology risks related to security, and the system-of-systems behaviors. When necessary, the candidate shall conduct specialized in-depth analysis of potential improvements in critical system technologies on a selective basis, making use of prototyping of hardware and/or software.
  • Mentors team members and help create individual development plans.
  • Establishes best practices, lessons learned, and technological approaches related to digital modernization and transformation technologies

 

PROGRAM MANAGER RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serves as the manager to ensure effective operational performance and client satisfaction
  • Serves as the day-to-day POC for client interaction and management; contract performance, health, and responsibility for customer satisfaction
  • Actively identifies and mitigates customer and contract level risks.
  • Responsible for all aspects of employee management to include managing staff, approving timecards, and gathering information to complete performance goals and appraisals.
  • Assists with recruitment activities to include recruiting and interviewing applicants for vacant positions.
  • Creates and reviews contract deliverables, and schedules review meetings for secondary review and approval.
  • Assures programs are well managed, profitable, and aligned with the business strategy within PGS.
  • Leads the internal and customer Program Review meetings and develops the materials
  • Performs compliance and performance audits, identifies trends, recommends improvement, implements tactical and strategic change.
  • Maintains and shares professional knowledge through education, networking, events, and presentations.
  • Ensures the usage of International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9001: 2015 and CMMI-SVC and other standards PGS may adapt as appropriate.
  • Participates in overall company growth strategies and seek to expand current client value
  • Assists in developing and maintaining a strategic business plan for long-term growth and capture
  • Assists with developing the BD pipeline and tracking requirements.
  • Leads and participates in bid decisions.
  • Manages capture efforts to include gathering insight, building connections, developing competitive intelligence and strategizing win opportunities
  • Develops and sustains strong partner relationships to deepen position in assigned markets
  • Works with proposal teams to ensure successful submission of RFI and RFP responses
  • Develops key components for technical and business proposals including pricing and labor categories.
  • Participates in the development of proposals and presentations for new business materials to create and nurture business opportunities and partnerships.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master’s Degree
  • 10+ years of experience
  • 5 years of experience managing large agile programs
  • SAFe Agilist Certified
  • PMP (preferred)
