The Smartglasses Product team invents next-generation Augmented Reality (AR) head-worn solutions utilizing some of Digilens' core technologies to empower the future of mobile computing. From developing the most cutting-edge HW platforms to integrating the latest and
greatest display technology to enabling the most immersive AR user experiences - the team is working hard on their mission to make AR accessible and useful to more people and organizations. We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join the Smartglasses Product
team

Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Design, improve, and support AR and XR smart glass products.
  • Participate in design and code reviews.
  • Interact with design, engineering, and product teams to shape and launch products.
  • Continually improve your craft and support your peers with growth.
  • Role requires being on-site to access HW equipment in the labs.

Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience

  • B.S. degree in Computer Science or equivalent discipline.
  • 8+ years of experience in AOSP, C, and C++.
  • Experience building high-performance code.
  • Familiar with software development practices and tools (CI/CD, Git, GitHub, Gerrit, Jenkins).
  • Knowledge of Unix/Linux environments and kernel development.
  • Knowledge of one or more of the following: Microcontrollers, SoC, device drivers, hardware bring up, power management, ARM processors, performance optimization, file systems, bootloader, firmware, x86 assembly, system BIOS or hardware/software integration.
  • Ability to read schematics and translate to the hardware specific code (Bootloader/Device Driver/HAL/Android Services).
  • Strong Embedded Engineer comfortable across the stack from sensor-hub, various HW abstraction layers, through to OS (Android/Linux).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Team player with a “can-do” approach.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to identify and troubleshoot technical challenges.
  • Ability to learn and apply new principles to execute daily responsibilities.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience with AR or VR platforms (e.g., ARKit, ARCore, ODG, Magic Leap, HoloLens, Meta Quest).
  • Experience developing on Qualcomm Snapdragon platforms (845, 865, XR1, XR2).
  • Experience designing SDKs or APIs for developers.
