Job DescriptionJob Description

Franklin Automation, a Company of Neyret Group, is currently seeking a full-time automation Field Service Engineer who will be responsible for delivering technical support to US customers of our sister companies; Guy Neyret S.A. and Lagniel SAS of France. Activities include machine installation, start-up, commissioning (FAT, SAT), preventive maintenance, training, and troubleshooting of automated assembly machines. Secondary responsibilities include working together with Franklin teams to build and debug Franklin Assembly Machine projects.

 

Job Duties

  • Troubleshoot mechanical aspects of automated assembly machines at customer facilities making necessary adjustments to bring equipment to running status
  • Resolve service requirements by troubleshooting over the phone or online if possible
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with customers at all times
  • Perform diagnostic and installation audits, making recommendations for repair/replace items
  • Follow customers plant and safety regulations while on site
  • Facilitate warranty/non-warranty claims with customer personnel
  • Cooperate and communicate effectively with Neyret Group project personnel
  • Prepare clearly written field service reports assessing machine performance and providing suggestions for improvements
  • Assembling, Debugging and Testing machines prior to delivery

 

Qualifications

  • Degree in high school, Mechanical Engineering Technology, BSME, OR relevant experience
  • 3-6 years of hands-on experience in a mechanical/electrical environment
  • Ability to troubleshoot, test, repair, and service technical equipment
  • Strong Mechanical aptitude; Know how to adjust, rectify, drill, tap
  • Ability to read drawings, reference manuals, and assembly system instruction guides
  • Ability to wire sensors, actuators, air piping, control valves, etc. is a plus
  • Proficient in the use of Office Suite – Word, Excel
  • Willing to engage in 35% – 45% travel
  • Eligible and able to travel domestically and internationally within 30 days of hire date
  • Legally eligible and able to operate a licensed motor vehicle
  • Ability to read, speak, write, and understand English in a professional manner
  • Authorized to work for employers in the U.S.
