Job DescriptionJob Description

Overview: As an Entry Level Cybersecurity Analyst, you will be responsible for supporting our cybersecurity operations and helping to protect our clients' data and systems from cyber threats. You will work closely with senior analysts and other team members to monitor, detect, and respond to security incidents. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates or individuals looking to start their career in cybersecurity.

Pay: $17-$22/hour

Qualifications:

·       Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field. Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles, threats, and mitigation strategies.

·       Familiarity with security tools such as firewalls, antivirus software, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and SIEM platforms.

·       Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

·       Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

·       Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

·       Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Relevant cybersecurity certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, Blue Team Level 1).
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
  • Knowledge of networking concepts and protocols.


Essential Functions

·       Monitor security alerts and incidents using various security tools and platforms.

·       Conduct initial triage and analysis of security events to determine their impact and severity.

·       Assist in the investigation and response to security incidents, including malware analysis, intrusion detection, and vulnerability assessment.

·       Support the implementation and maintenance of security policies, procedures, and controls.

·       Collaborate with IT and other departments to ensure compliance with security best practices and standards.

·       Participate in security awareness training and initiatives to educate staff and clients about cybersecurity risks and best practices.

·       Document and report security incidents and findings to senior analysts and management.

·       Stay up-to-date with the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and technologies.
