Pay rate is $18-22/hr DOE

LOTS of OVERTIME, no weekends, no late nights, off every third Friday

In this role you will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of the folding and booklet bindery equipment. This position will also interpret orders to determine document arrangement and number of copies.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Machine operator experience
• Must be able to understand English
• Basic computer knowledge and proficiency
• Dependable self-starter
• Excellent time management skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Ability to apply written instructions regarding machine setup and maintenance
• Understanding flow of product and associated recordkeeping
• Knowledge and skills related to continuous improvement, including waste reduction, 5S, standardization, point-of-use storage, quality of the source, etc.

Job Duties:

• Set up and operate equipment as trained in accordance with management's direction, job specifications, safe operating guidelines, and company processes to provide high quality printed publications.
• Responsible for turning on and setting up collating machines according to the press run list, add or remove paper grids, set for the size of paper to collate, stitch type, and trim and fold for the job to be performed.
• Calibrate job by running single sets of copies.
• Operate the machine to collate publications, following standard operating procedures, and check for correct information by continually monitoring finished copies for quality and accuracy.
• Maintain logs for production measures and history of equipment, parts and repairs.
• Troubleshoot and maintain equipment.
• Box, label, and prepare collated publications for shipping.
• Actively participate in continuous improvement and collaborate cross functionally to further generate ideas and knowledge sharing.
