Job DescriptionJob Description

Job shop setting heavy industrial repair shop looking for experienced Manual Machinist with minimum of 5 years' experience and diploma from apprenticeship required. Will be required to know how to operate various manual machines such as vertical and horizontal mills, engine lathes, VTL / VBM, drill press, slotter, key seater. Must know how to properly use hand tools including precision measuring devices. Must have basic math skills. Blueprint reading a must. Must have own machinist tools and lockable toolbox. Must have steel toe work shoes. CNC lathe, mill a plus but not required.

Duties will include rigging and operating overhead cranes to set up machinery. Locate proper tooling. Setup and proper operation of manual machines. Must be able to rough and finish machine parts to drawing specifications in a reasonable time as specified by management.

Must have High School diploma, and Machinist Apprenticeship diploma from a trade school.

Good, on time, attendance is required.

We are in a nice area with a well lit building.
