Summary

We are looking for a personable and dedicated Server to join our Lakeside Grill team. In this role, you will be responsible for taking orders, delivering food and beverages, and ensuring that guests have everything they need for an enjoyable meal. A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a commitment to providing top-notch service are essential. You’ll need to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining a friendly and approachable demeanor.

Server Duties and Responsibilities

  • Greet guests warmly and promptly upon arrival
  • Present menus, answer questions about menu items, and make recommendations
  • Accurately take orders and communicate them to the kitchen and bar staff
  • Deliver food and beverages to tables with efficiency and care
  • Monitor guest satisfaction, addressing any concerns or special requests
  • Upsell additional items, such as appetizers, desserts, and beverages
  • Clear and reset tables between guests to maintain a clean dining environment
  • Assist with side work, including stocking supplies, setting up tables, and general cleanup
  • Process payments accurately using the restaurant’s POS system
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth service operations

Server Requirements and Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Prior restaurant or customer service experience is a plus, but not required
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a positive attitude
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
  • Basic math skills for handling payments and tips
  • Must be of legal age to serve alcoholic beverages
  • Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment
  • Familiarity with POS systems is advantageous

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Regularly required to bend, reach, and carry items
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs
  • May occasionally need to operate a motor vehicle

Pay: $10.00 - $15.00 per hour + tips
