Crestview Country Club is a high-volume, upscale, casual restaurant and function facility seeking an experienced Line Cook in Agawam, MA. We are seeking a fabulous individual to join our team You will thrive in a fast-paced environment that promotes a collaborative partnership with other team members. This position requires strong organizational skills and attention to detail, upbeat personality and the ability to work well under pressure. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of both what tastes good and what looks good to the guest, must have integrity, strong work ethic, and a passion for food. Responsible for executing quality recipes for a la carte and events to include buffet, brunch, lunch, and dinner menus, remains aware of food and supply inventory, follows food budget, and completes all other duties as assigned. Proper adherence to local food sanitation regulations is required. Must have a can-do attitude, work well with others, receive direction and feedback well, and the ability to work efficiently with minimal oversight. Must be organized, maintain a clean workspace, have flexible availability, and the ability to work as a team player. Our ideal candidates should be able to work prep and multiple stations such as grill, sauté; knowledge of brick oven pizza preferred. Candidates are required to follow recipes and portion guidelines; Understand and accommodate customer requests; accurately track waste and misused products; Work efficiently and swiftly; Offer assistance to fellow employees; Follow proper sanitation procedure; Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Serve safe certification preferred and allergens and choking certification a must.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in day-to-day culinary operations to include preparation, cooking, and cleaning
- Check freshness and quality of ingredients
- Prep food to ensure properly stocked kitchens for efficient restaurant and banquet service
- Follow recipes and deliver proper plate presentations
- Work with other team members to create a memorable experience for guests
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in culinary arts, cooking, or other related fields
- Knowledge of cost and labor systems
- Passion for food and cooking techniques
- Strong leadership qualities
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
