Shift: 1st Shift - 4 days per week 10 hours per day

Position Summary :
The Master Machinist will prepare, cut, shape, and weld metal using hand tools and equipment such as band saws, material brakes, and material shears. The role will provide fabrication support for garage and shop services teams. The Fabricator Senior (Metal) will mentor and oversee team members' technical deliverables to ensure the company and customer standards are met.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Weld Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) and Metal Inert Gas (MIG), silver solder, and operate a spot welding machine.
  • Train, coach, and mentor team members related to their job responsibilities and are available as a subject matter expert to assist the team and customers.
  • Perform quality checks on completed products.
  • Keep shop equipment operating by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, performing preventive maintenance, and calling for repairs.
  • Operate lathes, Bridgeports, surface grinders, and drill presses.
  • Read and interpret engineering blueprints.
  • Lead daily shop organization and clean-up.
Position Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience with thorough experience in manual lathe and Bridgeport operations
  • Experience with 3D software
Preferred:
  • Certificate in Welding Technology or related.
  • American Welding Society (AWS) Certification.
  • Advanced ability to TIG and MIG weld steel, stainless steel, cast and aluminum.
  • Ability to operate vehicle lift.,
  • Advanced knowledge to safely operate fabrication shop machinery equipment such as plasma cutter, Oxy-Fuel torch, Bridgeport, Lathe, drill press, material shear, and press brake. Ability to operate vehicle lift
  • Ability to work overtime and weekends.
