Litigation Paralegal

POSITION DESCRIPTION
We are rapidly expanding and looking for an experienced and dedicated employment paralegal to join our team.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Propounding and responding to discovery
- Drafting pleadings, motions and complaints
- Calendaring and managing court deadlines
- Reserving court hearings and depositions
- Preparing documents for filing with the state and federal court
- Document retrieval and review
- Assist with pre-trial preparation, including drafting trial documents and preparing exhibits
- Contact court clerk for information as needed
- Issuing subpoenas and notices
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS ·
- 2-10 years of experience as a litigation paralegal required*
- Experience propounding and responding to written discovery.
- Knowledge of Federal, California Civil Procedure and Local Court Rules.
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word and Excel.
- Great time management and multi-tasking skills
- Must be organized, detail-oriented and a self-starter
- Type at least 60 WPM
- Experience in employment law is preferred, but not required.
