Description

We're looking for a Lab/Test Engineer, working in the High Tech industry in Redmond, Washington, United States.Typical role in a day:

  • Purpose of the Team - Minecraft Microsoft Manager for build and test lab for Mojang studios, the day to days are the upkeep and maintain of servers and clients, automating some of the processes and maintaining the set of machines that are used to support Minecraft, a mixture of windows PC desktops, Macs , PlayStation Xbox Nintendo Switches for developing and testing.
  • Typical task breakdown and operating rhythm - Looking for someone who also knows how Azure DevOps works and also 60/40 Hands-on lab stuff vs remote work (connecting to the machines remotely – checking on status, seeing on why things aren’t connecting, checking automation connectivity), setting up

Requirements:
  • Years of Experience Required – 2+
  • Degrees or certifications required - Work experience equivalent.
  • Disqualifiers - unable to lift 40lbs (they need to be able to pick up and move equipment around)
  • Best vs. Average - Extensive Azure experience
  • Performance Indicators - The ability to get the task done in a timely manner and to work independently (being able to figure out solutions if they get stuck on a particular task, but knowing when to ask for help)
Top 3 Hard Skill Requirements:
  • Some lab experience – 2+
  • SDLC understanding (building and testing) – 2+
  • Experience with Azure (using and automating with Azure, XML, writing with PowerShell, being able to work within the Azure environment) – 2+
  • Experience with Mac and Linux a plus.
