Expectations:

The CNC Project Coordinator and Welder will be responsible for overseeing small projects, or/or those requiring use of CNC machinery  from initiation to completion, ensuring they meet company standards and client specifications. This role involves a combination of managing projects, CNC operation, and welding tasks. The ideal candidate will be willing to learn the operation of CNC machinery, proficient in various welding techniques, and capable of managing projects efficiently.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee all stages of small projects, and/or those requiring use of CNC machinery, including design, programming, machining, and finishing.

  • Operate CNC plasma table to produce parts as per specifications and drawings.

  • Perform welding tasks for project assembly and finishing using MIG welding techniques.

  • Monitor project timelines ensuring projects are completed on time.

  • Ensure all CNC and welding operations meet quality standards and comply with safety regulations.

  • Maintain CNC plasma table including but not limited to changing consumables, cleaning out table, and troubleshooting software.

  • Maintain accurate records of project details, machine maintenance, and inventory levels.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED.

  • Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings.

  • Familiarity with SolidWorks or AutoCAD  or similar drafting software with experience operating CNC equipment as a plus.

  • Ability to read a tape measure.

  • Ability to manage small projects.

  • Desire to be in a shop environment

  • A proactive attitude, with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Physical Demands

  • Shop Environment – Hot summers and cold winters

  • Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods and perform tasks at a computer.

  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
