Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Managing and overseeing projects related to supplier quality improvement, compliance, or risk mitigation.
  • Leading initiatives to enhance and maintain high-quality standards within the supply chain.
  • Partnering with manufacturing sites and procurement team for APQP and PPAP activities and assessing and qualifying potential suppliers.
  • Developing and implementing supplier quality processes and procedures.
  • Conducting audits to ensure adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Evaluating supplier performance and providing feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Investigating and addressing non-conformance issues, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve quality-related issues in a timely manner.
  • Monitoring and analyzing supplier quality metrics to drive improvement initiatives.
  • Conducting risk assessments for new and existing suppliers.
  • Providing technical guidance to suppliers on quality requirements and specifications.
  • Participating in the development and review of supplier contracts and agreements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • 6+ years of experience in Supplier Quality Engineer or in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of quality management systems, ERP systems, and other industry software.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and quality control procedures.
  • Experience in conducting supplier audits and assessments.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and quality standards (ISO9001, AS9100 or IATF 16949)
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma/LEAN tools (pFMEA, Control Plans, 8D, 5why, A3, Kaizen etc.)
