Position Summary:

The Product Manager will be responsible for conducting market research and competitive analysis to inform our product strategies. This role will include providing detailed reports on market size, customer insights, and industry trends, helping to develop a clear understanding of user needs and future use-cases globally. The Product Manager will manage the entire product lifecycle, from initial concept through to discontinuation, and lead the product development tollgate process by creating and managing all necessary documentation and timelines. Additionally, formulating pricing and product positioning strategies, exploring new growth opportunities through diverse channels and segments, and supporting strategic sales initiatives by providing updates and insights to our sales teams.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide market, customer and competitive research reports on products, macro and industry trends, and market size.
  • Ensure a deep user/customer understanding, develop key insights, and identify a clear POV of future needs, wants, and use-cases for global customers.
  • Manage product life cycle through identification, introduction, growth, maturity, decline and discontinuation.
  • Own the product development tollgate process, create required documents (including design, product, forecast, financials, requirements, opportunity, etc.), produce timelines and manage team to goals.
  • Develop price & product positioning strategy and analysis within owned line and market.
  • Develop strategy for growth via new channels, segments, and products.
  • Support strategic sales opportunities and provide product updates to sales.

 

Skills and Requirements:

  • Strong verbal and written presentation skills including the ability to communicate complex ideas in a simple way.
  • Adept analytical and creative thinker with a design eye.
  • Possess a macro mindset and healthy curiosity, demonstrating an ability to delve into intricate details and explore innovative solutions in the realm of product development.
  • Market research: macro, industry, customer (commercial/contract, hospitality, residential), product.
  • Tollgate/stage gate knowledge and ability to implement new processes.
  • Proficient project management skills. (MS Project knowledge preferred)
  • Experience developing and delivering compelling and elevated presentations individually and within a team selling approach.
  • Ability to proactively achieve goals under shifting conditions and a variety of key stakeholders.

 

Education and Qualifications: 

  • 2+ years’ experience in product management, marketing, or new product development.
  • 1+ years product management with furniture systems preferred.
  • Traditional construction or prefabricated walls experience preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
