Who we are: Madisonville Christmas Company is an 11-acre business that is a year-round destination for all things Christmas. Onsite, we have a Christmas store, outdoor pavilion / lawn, café, sports bar, and several food trucks. We operate with energy and passion for the collective good and seek to create an environment that is welcoming and unique for both our team members and our guests. We provide inspiring, creative, and curated designs and gifting solutions to help our guests find everything they need for Christmas.

Position Overview: The Cook is responsible for providing exceptional service which creates a positive, inviting, and memorable experience for our guests. A Cook, is responsible for preparing ingredients at an establishment that serves food, processing customer orders, producing meals and cleaning their workspace throughout the day to follow health and safety guidelines. Cooks follow recipes consistently, make adjustments based on customer requests, communicate with wait staff and prepare garnishes to make an attractive presentation for each meal.

Job Duties:

  • Assisting in preparing meal ingredients, which includes washing, peeling, cutting, and slicing fruits and vegetables as well as marinating meats.

  • Preparing soups, salads, and sauces as instructed by the Chef Team.

  • Plating and garnishing meal items in accordance with the instructions provided by the Madisonville Christmas Company.

  • Ensure all cooking stations are adequately stocked with the necessary meal ingredients and cooking equipment.

  • Ensure all cooking stations and kitchen surfaces are cleaned and disinfected before and after each shift. Adhering to standard food rotation practices to reduce food wastage and minimize the risk of contamination. Assessing the quality of delivered food supplies to ensure that it meets restaurant standards.

Requirements:

  • Must be able to stand for 6-8 hour shifts

  • Must be able to multitask

  • Must be eligible to work weekends, either AM or PM shifts.

  • Lift 50 lbs with no restrictions

  • Fast pace high energy job

  • Must have Food Service Certification from approved Texan Institution
