Job DescriptionJob Description

The purpose of the HR and Payroll Assistant is to provide full administrative support to the HR Supervisor, mainly to ensure timely and accurate expense reimbursements and weekly payroll processing for all exempt, nonexempt, and union employees. Additionally assisting with numerous administrative upkeeps of our payroll system including job posting, recruiting, and applicant tracking.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure accurate entry of all payroll data and process weekly payroll for all company branches and divisions which requires navigation of multiple Payroll and HRIS systems
  • Create and send weekly payroll reports to management as required
  • Process monthly expense reimbursements and provide reporting as required
  • Provide administrative support to the HR Supervisor as needed with multiple functions within our HRIS system
  • Accurately maintain employee files
  • Cross train with Payroll Administrator and HR Supervisor

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail
  • A motivated self-starter with exceptional problem-solving skills
  • High level of confidentiality and strong ethical sense
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Able to prioritize and multitask effectively
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One or more years of payroll experience
  • Previous HR experience a plus
  • Bilingual English and Spanish preferred but not required
