Job DescriptionJob Description

We are currently seeking a Maintenance Technician at Gardenside Cooperative. This full-time position requires a trustworthy individual who is very much a hands-on person. One who can respond to a range of routine and emergency maintenance needs along with other more technical issues—sometimes afterhours. The right candidate will be someone who can communicate well, is honest, self-directed, organized, a multi-tasker and one who works well with people.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Inspect property

  • Maintain common areas and ensure clean safe condition

  • Perform basic janitorial, electrical, plumbing, heating and painting duties

  • Communicate effectively and courteously in person, by text, email and phone.

  • Report and record resident complaints to management

  • Order and maintain supplies and materials

  • Coordinate between management and contractors

Qualifications:

  • Apartment Maintenance Experience Required

  • HVAC Experience

  • Electrical

  • Plumbing

  • On-Call

  • Snow Removal

  • Gutter Cleaning

  • Handle and lift up to 50 lbs. without assistance

  • Strong inter-personal skills with residents, clients, vendors, contractors and co-workers

  • Good verbal and writing skills

  • Basic computer skills

  • Working Tools

  • Must have valid drivers license
