Location: Northeast Indiana (Fort Wayne/South Bend, IN area)
Job Description: We are seeking motivated and reliable Canvassers to join our team in the Northeast Indiana market. This is an 18-month contract position focused on enrolling eligible customers into our utility-sponsored load control program. This position is supporting a major utility with providing load control devices to customers to manage the power grid more efficiently. This is a field-based position (Monday-Friday, 9-6PM EST).
Key Responsibilities:
Door-to-Door Canvassing: Visit pre-qualified homes to identify and enroll eligible customers.
Customer Verification: Verify customer eligibility using provided scripts and information, ensuring all details are correct.
Clear Communication: Explain the benefits of the program, including the installation of load control devices on central AC units, and address any concerns or questions.
Accurate Information Gathering: Ensure all customer information is accurately recorded to prevent cancellations and misunderstandings.
Enrollment Facilitation: Confirm customer participation at the time of canvassing.
Quota Achievement: Meet daily enrollment quotas
Coordination with Technicians: Ensure seamless coordination with installation teams by providing accurate and complete customer information.
Qualifications:
Experience: Previous experience in door-to-door sales, canvassing, or customer service is preferred.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain program benefits and address customer concerns.
Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate customer information and reduce the rate of customer cancellations.
Reliability: Dependable and punctual, with a commitment to meeting enrollment targets.
Customer-Focused: Friendly and professional demeanor, with a focus on providing exceptional customer service.
Physical Requirements: Ability to walk for extended periods and work in various weather conditions.
Compensation and Benefits:
- $20 per hour base pay plus incentive pay.
