Lawelawe Defense Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, where this candidate will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between our users' needs and technological execution. In this crucial position, you will lead project facilitation, acting as the primary liaison between end-users and software development teams. Your responsibilities will include clearly communicating project objectives, monitoring progress, and ensuring that the final results align with strategic goals. Role and Responsibilities:

  • Create visually appealing and functional front-end applications.
  • Comprehend client-side and server-side architecture for seamless integration.
  • Develop and manage robust and efficient applications.
  • Write and maintain effective APIs for various functionalities.
  • Test software to ensure responsiveness and efficiency.
  • Identify, debug, and upgrade software issues.
  • Assess and remediate issues identified during vulnerability scans.
  • Write comprehensive technical documentation.
  • Work with customers to enhance and improve existing software.
  • Actively participate in the Agile development process.

Requirements:

  • Master of Arts or Science in related field with a minimum of 10+ years' experience as Software Engineer
  • OR Bachelor of Arts or Science in related field with a minimum 12+ years’ experience as Software Engineer
  • US Citizenship
  • Secret Clearance Required
  • CompTIA Security+ certification required

Technical Skills:

  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Minimum of 3+ years’ experience using C#
  • Minimum of 2+ years’ experience in debugging web applications using MS Visual Studio 2017+
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Web Forms, MVC, .NET Core, and .NET 4.x Framework
  • Experienced with Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles
  • Proficient in Angular 4.x+ for Single-Page Application (SPA) architecture
  • Skilled in modern UX Design principles (CSS, Bootstrap, Material, etc.)
  • Capable of writing SQL for major databases (Oracle 11-12.x, SQL Server 201x)
  • Adept at using APIs (JSON, XML, .NET Core 2.x+ with Web API preferred)
  • Competent with Source Control (Git, Azure DevOps Server 2019, TFS)
  • Knowledgeable in Agile development processes (SAFe, Scrum, etc.)
  • Skilled in vulnerability analysis and remediation using commercial tools (HP Fortify, SonarQube, etc.)
  • Familiar with Classic ASP (VBScript)
  • Familiar with Windows Communication Foundation (WCF) v4.x

Soft Skills: 

  • Creative problem-solving skills and a strong work ethic with a “can do” attitude
  • Capable of taking high-level requirements and translating them into development tasks
  • Proficient in estimating tasks based on technical debt, level of effort, and complexity
  • Thrives in a team and collaborative environment
  • Skilled at providing mentoring and coaching to less experienced team members
  • Effective at functioning in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines
