Job Summary

The Vehicle Cleaner will be responsible for cleaning all customer transportation vehicles at the customer site in Emmitsburg, MD.

 

Key Job Functions

  • · Cleans interiors and exteriors of transportation vehicles, such as automobiles, buses, railroad cars, and streetcars
  • · Cleans interior of vehicle, using broom, cloth, mop, vacuum cleaner, and whiskbroom, remove all trash, vacuum seat and floor
  • · Wash and clean interior and exterior windows of vehicles including and interior and exterior mirrors with water, cleansing compounds, and cloth or chamois. Ensure all glass surfaces are free of streaks, smudges and water spots.
  • · Replenishes sanitary supplies in vehicle compartments
  • · Wash exterior, removes dust, grease, and oil from exterior surfaces of vehicles, using steam-cleaning equipment or by spraying or washing vehicles, using spraying equipment, brush or sponge
  • · Use a soft cloth to dry inside and outside of all vehicles.
  • · Polish exterior of vehicle, and fumigate interior of vehicle, using fumigating gases or sprays as needed
  • · Clean dash and console
  • · Wash windows and mirrors inside and out
  • · Clean interior of doors
  • · Shampoo carpet as needed
  • · Check engine oil, add as needed
  • · Check transmission fluid, add as needed
  • · Check windshield washer fluid add as needed
  • · Check tire pressure, adjust as needed

 

Education and Qualifications

  • · High diploma or equivalent.
  • · Eighteen (18) years of age.
  • · Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
