Position Summary: We are looking for a skilled Mechanic to join our team in our Shop located in Clinton Township, MI. This position will be responsible for repairing, maintaining, and troubleshooting all types of equipment including but not limited to Loaders, Dozers and Diesel trucks and other types of construction equipment. The Mechanic will also be expected to perform preventative maintenance on all parts and equipment on a daily basis.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Inspects equipment for damage and repairs or replacements as needed.
  • Inspects parts for damage and repairs as needed.
  • Repairs or replaces defective parts.
  • Inspects all electrical systems for damage and repairs as needed.
  • Inspects all hydraulic systems for damage and repairs as needed.
  • Inspects all pneumatic systems for damage and repairs as needed.
  • Inspects all mechanical systems for proper function and repairs as needed.
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance on all equipment including lubrication, tune-ups, brake system checks, inspections, etc.
  • Perform repairs or maintenance on other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager.
  • Experience: Experience required: Minimum of 3 years of experience in a shop environment with mechanical knowledge and experience repairing Loaders, Dozers and Diesel Engines is required. Experience in the repair of PTO systems preferred but not required. Experience in the repair of hydraulic systems is required. Knowledge of hydraulic systems including valves, pumps, motors, etc., is highly desired but not required. Knowledge of welding is preferred but not required. Knowledge of hydraulic hoses is required. Knowledge of electrical systems is required to be a skilled mechanic. Experience with air tools is highly desired and required (e.g., impact drivers, grinders, etc.).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $30.00 per hour
