Position Overview:

 

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate X-Ray Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for taking radiographic images, primarily focusing on chest and bone x-rays, as requested by a physician to assist in diagnosis. This role requires a thorough understanding of imaging equipment, x-ray procedures, and excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients.

 

Qualifications:

 

• Associate degree (2 years) or bachelor’s degree (4 years) in Radiography or related programs.

• Current License/Permit in X-Ray Technology from the State of Florida, Department of Health Services.

• Knowledge of HIPAA medical privacy regulations and practices.

• Strong attention to detail.

• Previous experience in a medical office setting is preferred.

• Bilingual skills are a plus.

• Proficient in Electronic Medical Records (EMR).

 

Responsibilities:

 

• Perform basic x-ray imaging procedures, primarily focusing on chest and bone structures for diagnostic purposes.

• Ensure compliance with governmental protocols and maintain patient and employee safety by using protective instruments and following safety measures.

• Adjust x-ray video display settings to achieve optimal picture quality by making appropriate contrast and density adjustments.

• Educate patients about the x-ray procedure, ensure their preparedness, position them correctly on the examining table, and cover them with protective clothing.

• Introduce and demonstrate the latest techniques, equipment, and procedures to educate staff members.

• Analyze x-rays and computerized specimens, create detailed reports of findings, and present them to physicians.

• Measure and evaluate the dimensions of the area to be radiographed.

• Make copies of x-rays and maintain precise records of patients who have undergone imaging procedures.

• Coordinate work schedules to ensure smooth operation of the radiology department.

 

Work Schedule and Locations:

 

• Full-time hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM.

• Part-time positions are also available.

• Handle 7-8 patients per day, with occasional walk-ins.

• Locations: Tamarac and Miami.

 

Compensation:

 

• Competitive hourly rate of $28/hr.
