Production Machinist – Setup/Operate

• $26 to $36 per hour - based on experience

VAC Motorsports is the combination of Verna's Auto Clinic (V.A.C.), established in 1984, and Milano Engine and Machine Corp., a multi-generation specialist of machine work and engine building established in 1963. We are a family-owned business that has been supplying the aftermarket racing industry for decades with precision components and custom builds.

We have been growing at an aggressive pace and are looking to grow our team Our manufacturing group is currently seeking an experienced Machinist to join us at our new facility in Hainesport. The primary responsibilities for this position include: reading & understanding engineering prints/specifications, setting up and operating CNC Lathes and Mills (multi-axis capability), and using measuring devices to verify that parts comply with specifications.

Education, Experience, Skills & Abilities:

• Experience setting up and operating lathes and multi-axis mills is a must. (Centroid multi-axis is a plus.)
• Must be able to read and understand engineering prints/technical drawings and measure part features using micrometers, calipers, and other basic hand gages.
• Experience working with stainless, carbon steel, titanium, Inconel, and other exotic materials is a plus.
• Experience in programming is a plus.
• Attention to detail, critical thinker, problem-solving skills.
• Adequate math and analytical skills.
• Team player / ability to work well in a team environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of vocational training or an apprenticeship will be an asset.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
• Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Perform Preventative Maintenance activities as required.
