Shipping Clerk

Marietta, GA

1st. Shift M-F

$17.00

Candidates need to be able to work steadily in a fast paced environment. This position is responsible for the safe packaging and correct shipping of shipments both small and large to locations all over the United States. Candidates are expected to be very comfortable with computer navigation since multiple software programs will be utilized on a daily basis to both scan and ship orders. A good, hard working, honest work ethic is a must. Applicants will need to have good time management skills and have the ability to adjust their speed of order processing to match the workload which changes on a daily basis. Must be able to repeatedly move, package and lift packages repeatedly for the allotted shift. A Few duties of this position include but are not limited to the following:

  • Check orders, quantity and totals
  • Inventory
  • Check products for defects and accuracy
  • Ensure correct routing of outbound deliveries
  • Handle packaging procedures to ensure safety of shipment
  • Pull, pack and ship finished goods
  • Process customers’ orders by ensuring that the right shipment is on its way
  • Report and replace any defective item prior to packing
  • Handle space arrangements for incoming shipments in the storage areas
  • Ensure that the warehouse is cleaned and maintained at all times

Previous experience is a plus, however, we are willing to train the right person in the skills needed to excel in this position. This position requires someone who is very detail oriented and has the ability to stand for extended periods of time in one area.
