Full Time Tool & Die Maker for assembly, machining, and repair of Diecasting Dies.

Fremar Industries continues to grow as a leader in the engineering and manufacturing of die cast tooling for the automotive, appliance, lawn & garden, and industrial industries. We are seeking experienced toolmakers with a variety of expertise and experience levels to work in a pleasant and rewarding workplace to augment our current staff where they can continue to grow in their expertise while enjoying commensurate compensation and benefits.

  • Maintain a high standard for safety, workmanship, quality, and productivity.
  • Primarily work on assembly of new tools and components.
  • Proficiency in Bridgeport mills and surface grinders and other tool room machines.
  • Knowledge of CNC milling equipment helpful.
  • Some repair work and troubleshooting of dies.
  • Work from design prints, images, and oral instructions
  • Work as a team member.
  • Effectively communicate with other personnel.
  • Maintain accurate documentation as required during assembly and repair of dies.
  • Work overtime.
  • Safely use a tow motor, crane to move materials and tooling.
  • Ability to program computer controlled toolroom equipment is helpful.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:

  • Completed a high school or post high school machinist program and the ability to perform the tasks in the job description.
  • Proficiency in operating all common machining equipment, mills, lathes, grinders, etc.
  • Ability to program computer controlled toolroom equipment is helpful
  • Use of all inspection measurement equipment standard in the tool making industry
  • Time management skills and the ability to work to deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Read, understand, and follow specifications and prints.
  • Good communication skills
  • Moderate hand dexterity is required for this position.

  • Full time position, nine to ten hours per day, five days per week. Start time 6:00am
