The South Florida Skin Center is a rapidly expanding medical practice based in Port Charlotte, FL. We offer employees opportunities for advancement, hands-on experience, and career development. Specializing in skin cancer prevention and treatment, our patients can expect consistent, compassionate, and personalized care in an intimate and familial setting.

The Position: Part-Time Mohs Technician

Starting pay for this position is negotiable, based on certification and experience. We are seeking a Mohs Technician to work 2-4 days per month.

Attributes and position requirements:

• Previous experience Mohs tissue processing
• Mohs Histology Certification
• Compassionate and caring demeanor
• Strong sense of urgency
• Elevated attention to detail

Responsibilities:

• Under the direction and supervision of the Mohs surgeon(s), you will be expected to organize, prepare, embed, freeze, cut, and stain post-operative cutaneous tissue.
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and tools.
• Prepare appropriate reagents and solutions.
• Maintain and file slide records.
• Abide by safety guidelines and maintain a clean, safe workspace
