**Job Title:** Landscape Maintenance Technician

**Department:** Landscaping

**Reports To:** Landscape Maintenance Supervisor

**Job Summary:**

The Landscape Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the health and appearance of landscapes for residential and commercial properties. This role involves performing various tasks, including lawn care, pruning, planting, irrigation system maintenance, and pest management.

**Key Responsibilities:**

- **Lawn Care:** Mow, edge, and fertilize lawns. Monitor grass health and apply treatments as needed.
- **Plant Maintenance:** Prune shrubs and trees to maintain shape and health. Plant new flowers, trees, and shrubs as required.
- **Weed and Pest Control:** Identify and remove weeds. Apply pesticides and herbicides safely and in compliance with regulations.
- **Irrigation System Maintenance:** Inspect, repair, and adjust irrigation systems to ensure proper watering of landscapes.
- **Soil Management:** Test soil and apply amendments to ensure optimal plant growth.
- **Clean-Up:** Collect and dispose of leaves, branches, and other debris. Maintain cleanliness and order in work areas.
- **Equipment Maintenance:** Perform routine maintenance on landscaping equipment, such as mowers, trimmers, and blowers.
- **Customer Interaction:** Communicate with clients to understand their landscaping needs and provide recommendations.

**Qualifications:**

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in landscaping or horticulture is preferred.
- Knowledge of plants, trees, and lawn care techniques.
- Ability to operate landscaping equipment safely.
- Strong physical stamina and the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Good communication skills and a customer-oriented attitude.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

**Working Conditions:**

- Primarily outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
- May require lifting heavy objects and operating machinery.
- Possible exposure to chemicals used in landscaping.
