As a Water Damage Technician, you will be a vital member of our restoration team responsible for addressing water/fire/mold-related damages in residential and commercial properties. This role requires quick response to emergencies, effective problem-solving skills, and a dedication to restoring properties and contents damaged by water, fire, smoke, mold, or sewage.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond promptly to emergency calls regarding water damage.
  • Conduct initial site inspections to assess the extent of damage and draft an immediate plan of action.
  • Remove water using specialized equipment like pumps, vacuums, and large fans.
  • Clean and sanitize affected areas to prevent mold and mildew buildup.
  • Perform moisture and humidity readings to ensure proper drying of the area.
  • Document all work performed, including photos and detailed notes, for insurance purposes.
  • Coordinate with insurance adjusters to facilitate claims processing.
  • Restore properties to pre-damage conditions through repair or replacement of materials.
  • Maintain equipment and vehicles in good working order, ensuring readiness for emergencies.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Positive attitude and excellent interpersonal skills to interact effectively with clients and team members.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; further certification in water damage restoration is a plus (e.g., IICRC Certification).
  • Experience in water damage restoration, construction, or a related field is preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in physically demanding conditions and manage heavy equipment.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Flexibility to work on-call during off-hours, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Valid driver’s license and Clean driving record.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Comfortable working in wet, damp environments and handling potentially hazardous materials.
  • Capable of wearing full-face respirators or other safety gear for extended periods.
