Job Description:
As a Fertilization Technician at HEROES Lawn Care, you will be managing lawn care services within your territory. A successful fertilization technician will be able to spot concerns, find the solution and maintain a healthy lawn for the customer.  You will be required to work with different treatment plans as well as learn the irrigation side of the business on several different types of property. Fertilizer Technician’s ensure the safety and appropriate application of chemical products and fertilizer to enhance the quality of our client’s lawn.

Responsibilities of Fertilization Technicians:
·    Communication-able to interact with clients and branch personnel as to activities as it relates to the clients.
·    Responsible for organization of equipment and products in your assigned vehicle
·    Fertilizer Technician ensure the safety and appropriate application of chemical products and fertilizer to enhance the quality of our client’s lawn.
·    Assist in sales growth through canvassing and building customer base through contact on service routes.
·    Provide assistance to other service lines as needed
·    Identification-of insects, weeds, and diseases as it relates to job function and implement appropriate control solutions.
·    Equipment and Warehouse-ensures standards of cleanliness are being adhered to daily.
·    Safety-responsible for personal, equipment and vehicular safety as it relates to job requirements.
·    Provide service to residential customers by making lawn applications, diagnosing, and correcting lawn problems through service calls and other customer communications.
·    Perform all functions of the lawn care position with crew members.
·    Follow a daily schedule, ensuring timely arrival at each account
·    Providing additional services through aeration, soil amendment, and over seeding.
·    Operate plow truck and snowblower during winter months

Required Qualifications of Fertilization Technicians:
·    Reliable transportation
·    Willing to learn all aspects of lawn care
·    Open to training and coachable
·    Desire to help launch a new small business

Preferred Qualifications of Fertilization Technicians:
·    Irrigation knowledge is a plus
·    Must be able to diagnose insect and disease issues in the field.
·    3+ Years experience applying fertilizer on the job

Physical Requirements of Fertilization Technicians:
·        Stand; walk; sit; twist; use hands to handle; reach with hands and arms; push; pull; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk and hear.
·        Lift, move, and hold up to approximately 50 lbs.
·        Must be able to work a full-time, flexible schedule with “on call availability” and must be able to travel on short notice.
·        Must be able to drive a motor vehicle (day and evenings) for extended time periods.
