Essential Duties:

 

Oversee implementation of Restorative Practices across Middle and High School contexts.

Communicates school-wide expectations to students via seminar.

Creates seminar, grade level, and course level lessons on academic violations, behavior trends, gender based harrassment, and conflict resolution.

Creates a student group that serves as a student community board to provide input in schoolwide expectations.

Communicates school-wide expectations to parents via ParentSquare

Develops and oversees the School Safety Committee

Creates and communicates flow charts for behavior response, including academic dishonesty, classroom-based infractions, and schoolwide infractions. The flow charts will show staff who and how behavior is implemented at UPA.

Communicates behavior responses to counselors, teachers, and staff.

Supports teachers to resolve differences in communication with parents and students

Supports teachers in building positive relationships with parents

Develops and maintains the Student Handbook and meets with students who have received academic violations (plagiarism, cheating, etc.) to determine disciplinary and/or remediation actions

Creates and communicates weekly the supervision schedules for drop-off, pick-up, AM supervision, break supervision, lunch supervision, and PM Supervision.

Coordinates with ASB, Arts, Learn It, and Athletics to create and monitor an admin supervision schedule

 

Qualifications:

Must have Clear California Teaching Credential or PPS Credential 

5 years of Teaching Experience (Teacher Leadership experience strongly preferred)

Completes all Mandated Trainings: First Aid Certification, CPR Certification, and Mandated Reporter Training
