Intake Coordinator

Job Summary:
- Answering phone and email inquiries
- Greet incoming veterans and other professionals alike
- Sending detailed emails of incidents
- Maintain professionalism with referring parties and veterans
- Comply with the policies and regulations of the company
- Coordinate intake of incoming veterans by Gather admission documents
- Sitting down with the veteran and filling out the initial paperwork
- Going over the program rules and details about which program they are entering.
- Inventory of belongings that veteran brings making sure that it is within our 7-7-2 rule
- Taking all clothes and bags to be heat treated and washed
- Showing the veterans around the building, to their room, and giving a warm hand-off to their case manager.
- Managing schedule and complete invoice for ordering supplies
- Organize and maintain log of referrals for programs
- Schedule intake screenings and coordination of screening with case manager completing initial screening
- Maintain updated and current resident/cm roster with accurate case assignments
- Putting initial chart together for case managers for new veterans on their case load
- Complete follow-up with referring parties after admission or non-admission into program
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills
- Meticulous attention to detail required.
- Ability to understand and respect confidential data.
- Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
- Good computer skills in MS Word, Excel, Outlook.
- Professional demeanor and presentation a must.
Education & Other requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year college or university or High School Graduate.
- Knowledge of Homeless Services highly desired
