Job Summary:

Coordinates, manages and conducts inspirational corporate team building events that benefit children and adults dealing with healthcare challenges. Coordinates inventory management and event preparation.

Events Manager duties include:

  • Manage logistics necessary to lead and execute team building events including client communication, hospital staff communication, travel logistics, hotel and conference center coordination, and shipping logistics.
  • Prepare agendas, presentations, and written communication used during team building events.
  • Travel to team building event locations nationwide and in select Canadian markets.
  • Lead team building events providing inspirational and instructional presentations to teams of 25 - 100+ people, both in-person and virtually.
  • Coordinate planning and logistics with our hospital and charity partner key contacts: children’s hospitals, veterans hospitals, state veterans homes, adult hospitals and Ronald McDonald houses.
  • Manage and track Cheeriodicals shipments with our delivery partners including FedEx and Two Men and a Truck.
  • Lead sales calls with potential team building clients directing them from prospect to client and manage that client acquisition process.
  • Work in sync with events professional partners employed by our corporate clients, third-party event management companies and destination management companies.
  • Establish and cultivate relationships with key personnel at our hospital partners including Child Life, Foundation, and Veteran Voluntary Services.
  • Manages event inventory and supplies.

Requirements of the role:

  • Ability to travel (requires overnight travel that varies from month to month, usually 3 – 4 times per month for 1-2 nights each)
  • Strong events/project management experience and skills
  • Experience speaking to large groups of people (up to 100+ people) with confidence and ease
  • Excellent written communication, Microsoft Office, Google file sharing, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and other virtual technology
  • Entrepreneurial spirit with a desire to grow with a company that makes a positive impact
  • Ability to unload and move 50 lb. boxes off a moving truck and move boxes repeatedly during team building events
