General Summary:

The Board-Certified Behavioral Analyst (BCBA) will conduct thorough assessments, develop treatment plans for insurance companies, develop skill acquisition programming, create behavior plans (and corresponding data collection systems), collect and analyze data, collaborate with other providers, conduct caregiver training, report on treatment plan objectives and attend bi-weekly meetings at our office.


Essential Skills and Qualifications:

• Must be a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).

• Minimum 2 years experience

• Master's degree, preferably in Applied Behavior Analysis.

• Experience conducting intakes, preference assessments, skills assessments, and functional behavior assessments.

• Experience writing behavioral objectives and report writing.

• A problem solver; thinks creatively, clinically, and commercially to find the best solutions.


Performance Expectations:

Daily:

  • Report to the clinic from 8am-4pm M-F.
  • Respond to communication from staff/families via phone call or email within 48 hours.
  • Ensure all billable appointments are converted in central reach with session notes and clinician/parent signatures.
  • Supervise RBTs in a professional manner
  • Completes and updates daily schedule based on staff and client attendance. Weekly:
  • Review deadlines for client authorizations and prepare to submit treatment plan at least 1 month prior to authorization ending.
  • Review current scheduled hours and update schedule as necessary.
  • During Billable sessions, review the following:
    • Review current data across skill acquisition and behavior reduction graphs, and update plans as appropriate.
    • Check in with caregivers.
    • Assist staff to maintain a family home atmosphere and a positive environment. Provide positive interaction with clients, staff, and family members and respect individual differences.
    • Provide ongoing training to RBT’s and case managers to ensure the highest quality of services.


Bi-Weekly:

  • Attend, participate, and facilitate, as requested, clinic-based services department meetings, required training, case reviews, staff meetings, and other meetings as requested.
  • Conduct parent training including but not limited to:
    • Parent consultation (meeting without client present)
    • Review visual analyses of current goals.
    • Review parent priorities.
    • Parent practicum (practicing skills in the field with client present)
    • Set up expectation of what parent is required to do for parent goal & take observable data of parent engaging in skill).
    • Parent education (reviewing overarching ABA concepts that pertain to the family)
    • Identify ABA concept that may be reviewed with parent to assist in their understanding of ABA as a whole (ex., functions of behavior, prompt fading).


Monthly:

  • Provide a minimum of 100 billable hours with clients per month. This may be achieved by the following:
    • Simultaneous direction of RBT overlaps.
    • 1:1 direct sessions with client.
    • Billable assessment/re-assessment.
    • Parent training.
  • Complete RBT performance tracker for each RBT.


Bi-Annually:

  • Write reports, which may include the following:
    • Observation Summaries
    • Initial Consultation Reports
    • Assessment Summaries
    • Treatment Recommendations
  • Create Treatment Plans to submit to funding carriers, which may include the following:
    • Acquisition Programs
    • Behavior Intervention Plans
  • Complete biannual review with Director of Clinic & Home-Based services.


Annually:

  • Complete performance evaluation(s) under the direction of the Director of Clinical Services.


As Needed:

  • Conduct Initial Consultation with clients.
  • Conduct Assessments.
  • Consult with other professionals including doctors, nurses, psychiatrists, speech therapists, and occupational therapists to develop and implement individualized goals for assigned individuals.
  • Provide competency-based training to staff, teachers, family members, and others as necessary on the implementation of behavior programming, including current BIP and required data collection.


Physical Requirements of the Job:

The incumbent typically will work across multiple environments using a computer, telephone and other office equipment as needed to perform duties. Incumbent may encounter frequent interruptions throughout the workday. The employee is regularly required to sit, talk, or hear; frequently required to use repetitive hand motion, handle, or feel, and to stand, walk, reach, bend or lift up to 20 pounds. The incumbent may be involved in crisis situations across clients and must be willing to be trained in crisis management and perform the duties required in the current training system.
