Experienced licensed pest control technician needed in Butler and Hamilton county. Opportunity to advance to management roles available. Excellent hourly pay and production bonus pay once fully trained and working independently.

Job Description:

Pest control technicians help customers resolve their pest infestation problems. They identify the type of pest that is infesting homes, buildings, offices, and other structures and use either pesticides or manual solutions to get rid of them. A pest control technician is responsible for providing pest remediation and prevention solutions to residential and commercial property owners. The duties of pest control techs include conducting inspections, and advising on, and implementing effective treatment plans to remedy infestations.

Job Requirements:

  • Current Ohio applicator's license with categories Core and 10A at minimum
  • Valid drivers license, good driving record, and reliable transportation required
  • Must possess physical stamina and the ability to stand for an extended period of time
  • Must be detailed oriented, highly motivated, and reliable
  • Must possess good customer service skills
  • Strong ability to keep good records of hours worked, chemicals used and payment collected
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Employee must consent to a federal and local background check

Job Responsibilities:

  • Inspect buildings and the surrounding environment for signs of pest infestation
  • Determine the type of treatment needed to eliminate pests
  • Take the required measurement of the area in need of treatment
  • Estimate the cost of services rendered to clients or customers
  • Use different pest control methods such as the setting of traps or baits to remove or kill pests
  • Apply pesticide safely according to safety labels in properties and the surrounding environment
  • Interact directly with customers and ensuring education is provided as needed.
  • Technician is responsible for monthly maintenance of all equipment utilized

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 55 per week

Schedule:

  • 10 hour shift
  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Overnight shift
  • Overtime
  • Rotating weekends

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Hamilton, OH: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

  • Pest control: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

  • Ohio Driver's License & Current Car Insurance, Good Driving Record (Required)
