We have an exciting new opportunity for Physical Therapist Assistant(s) (PTA) looking for new opportunities. The PTA works under the direct supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide physical therapy treatments and interventions to patients. The PTA helps patients regain movement, manage pain, and improve their quality of life. This role is critical in supporting rehabilitation plans designed to restore function, prevent disability, and enhance overall mobility and wellness.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in implementing physical therapy programs as directed by the Physical Therapist.
  • Provide hands-on therapy to patients, including exercises, stretches, and other treatments like massage, heat/ice application, and ultrasound.
  • Monitor patient progress and report findings to the supervising Physical Therapist.
  • Educate patients and their families on exercises and activities that can be done at home to support ongoing rehabilitation.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care in accordance with legal and organizational requirements.
  • Prepare treatment areas, clean and organize equipment, and ensure proper functioning of therapy tools.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and infection control procedures in all patient interactions.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient progress and therapy plans.
  • Foster a positive, supportive environment that promotes patient engagement and motivation.

Qualifications:

  • Associate Degree in Physical Therapy Assisting from an accredited program.
  • Current state licensure or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
  • CPR and First Aid certification (preferred).
  • Strong understanding of physical therapy principles, techniques, and safety protocols.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift or support patients as needed, often requiring standing, bending, or lifting for extended periods.
  • Must be able to assist patients in mobility exercises and other physical tasks related to therapy.
