The Behavioral Health Services (BHS)/Children’s Mobile Crisis Services (CMCS) Billing Specialist reviews submitted billing by program workforce members for reimbursement, authorization, utilization, fraud, waste and abuse prevention compliance standards. This person will serve as a liaison between the BHS Programs (Outpatient Clinic, Clinical Stabilization Services and Behavioral Health and Rehabilitative Services), CMCS Programs (Children’s Mobile Crisis Teams and Children’s Mobile Intervention Services), insurance companies, and Bethanna accounting department. This individual will also support out of network coordination of insurance benefits to ensure credentialing and reimbursement.

 

The BHS Billing Specialist will implement the Fraud Prevention and Compliance plan; provide utilization review reports and oversee compliance procedures and standards. It is the responsibility of the BHS Billing and Specialist to ensure authorizations are received, billing is submitted within indicated time frames for all services provided within all of the programs and claims are processed successfully. This individual will also keep abreast of all MCO changes, including oversite of Value Based requirements.

 

The BHS Billing Specialist will possess a Bachelor’s Degree in a business related major. Consideration will be given to candidates with a High School Diploma and a minimum of 2 years experience working with insurance billing.
