Lead Water Restoration Technician

Welcome to RestoPros of West Central Michigan RestoPros started in 2018 to help people get back to normal when unforeseen circumstances arise. We are proudly expanding our business nationwide and are looking for a seasoned Water Restoration Technician to join and help grow our team.

 

As a Lead Water Restoration Technician, you will be an essential part of our team performing water extraction, drying, and ensuring the affected areas are safe and sanitary. Must have flexibility in schedule. Competitive pay starting at $23/hr - $27/hr for applicants with certification and experience PTO and bonus structure to accompany. Apply today

Key Responsibilities of Lead Restoration Technician:

  • Damage Assessment: Inspect and assess water-damaged properties to determine the extent and nature of the damage. Document findings, including photographs and notes, to provide accurate damage assessments.
  • Water Extraction: Operate water extraction equipment to remove excess water from affected areas. Dispose of water and debris in a safe and compliant manner.
  • Drying and Dehumidification: Set up and monitor drying equipment such as dehumidifiers and air movers to expedite the drying process. Ensure the proper drying of structural materials and contents.
  • Mold Prevention: Implement mold prevention measures by applying antimicrobial solutions and conducting necessary treatments. Monitor for signs of mold growth and take prompt action to prevent its spread.
  • Customer Communication: Maintain clear and professional communication with clients to explain the restoration process and provide updates on progress. Address any concerns or questions from clients and ensure their satisfaction.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to protect yourself, your team, and clients from hazards. Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
  • Documentation: Complete thorough and accurate documentation of work performed, including work orders, equipment usage, and material inventory.
  • Estimate Preparation: Support in the preparation of project estimates supported by damage assessments, documentation, and an understanding of residential / commercial mitigation and construction processes.

 

Requirements of Lead Water Restoration Technician:

  • Lead Water Restoration Technician must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in water damage restoration or related field is required.
  • IICRC WRT (Water Damage Restoration) certification preferred, but training can be provided.
  • Physically fit with the ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and materials.
  • Be able to work unsupervised.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to work in emergency situations, including evenings, weekends, and on-call duties.
  • A valid driver's license and a reliable means of transportation.
  • Must complete drug screen and background check.
  • Willingness to develop an in-depth understanding of the business and related services
  • Motivated to grow alongside our business as we launch and scale across West Central Michigan.

Job Type: Full-time

 

Pay: $23.00 - $27.00 per hour

 

Expected hours: 40 per week
