Overview:

We are a dynamic, growing, and fiscally strong accounting firm located in Lincolnwood, IL and are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our team The ideal candidate will be responsible for working with closely held businesses and the individuals who run them. Communication skills and the ability to think on your feet are a must. Details, deadlines and time management are essential to this position. The ability to switch between tasks and clients is also needed due to the nature of our clients.

Duties:

·         Perform duties in accordance to and a solid understanding of General Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

·         Review client financial statements and perform analysis and recommendations to clients

·         Review client financial information and make corrections/adjustments

·         Maintain general ledger, reconcile accounts, prepare financial reports and record financial transactions

·         Handle accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll processing

·         Assist with preparation for client audits

·         Identify financial risks, forecast financial trends and provide insight to clients

·         Facilitate all aspects of a client engagement, presenting clear and concise information

Qualifications:

·         Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred

·         CPA certification preferred

·         1+ years of experience in public accounting

·         Proficiency in Quick Books

·         Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices

·         Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

·         Ability to work independently and as part of a team
