Job DescriptionJob Description

A world leader of complete multifunctional turning-boring-milling centers is looking for a motivated and dynamic person, who is interested in working in an internationally active and very successful company.

The candidate qualifications are the following:

  • CAD/CAM experience with regards to programming of multi-axes multi-function machine tools as well as a firm understanding of Macro and manual programming
  • Solid understanding of the function and intricacies of CNC machines, work holding principles and tool setup
  • Strong background in applied metal cutting by means of turning, milling, drilling, etc.
  • Experience with SINUMERIK 840D control system
  • Ability to travel extensively within the Continental U.S., Canada and occasionally Mexico/Austria
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record needed
  • Valid US passport and clean background (required for Government related facility access)
  • German or Spanish as second language a plus, but not mandatory

Essential Duties and responsibilities:

  • Program and troubleshoot complex millturn parts from various industries using state of the art CNC technology
  • Discuss machining process related topics with customer
  • Conduct cycle time calculations and process sequence charts
  • Majority of candidates work time will be spent on assignment at customer sites across the U.S. with some time in Canada
  • Assignments at customer sites consist of: qualification and runoff of new machines; programming, development and tryout of new cutting sequences; production support; training of customer personnel on programming and operation of Millturn machines
