All employees at Integrated Water Services (“IWS”) are key as we make water better The Corporate Development Analyst (“CDA”) will support and facilitate planned transformative inorganic growth at Integrated Water Services (IWS). You will be a key role in the origination, evaluation and consummation of mergers and acquisition (“M&A”) activity throughout the M&A lifecycle at IWS.


As a CDA, you will participate in all phases of the investment opportunity pipeline including deal origination, business case creation, due diligence, valuation, integration and value creation. You will support the development of financial models and Board of Directors Investment Committee materials. You will support all M&A activities across multiple transactions progressing in parallel through IWS’ M&A stage-gate process.


This role may be required to work in the office or may have a flexible arrangement including time working from home. You may be required to travel to other company offices or target company locations as needed.


Responsibilities

  • Assess financial statement integrity of target companies.
  • Assist in due diligence efforts to evaluate accounting, finance, operations, sales and marketing, human resources, Legal, Safety and IT functions for potential acquisitions.
  • Conduct capital structure scenario and returns analyses.
  • Track deal progress and action items across multiple transactions simultaneously.
  • Build executive presentations and other Investment Committee materials to articulate investment rationale and expound upon risks and mitigants.
  • Assist drafting, reviewing, and negotiating terms of indications of interest, letters of intent, definitive agreements and other documentation to support the successful consummation of targeted transactions.
  • Assist in the continuous development and improvement of best practices to ensure consistent approach and performance of diligence, investment risk recognition and limitation, and reduced scope/cost of externally sourced services.
  • Perform ad hoc market research and analysis to develop insights and support M&A activities at IWS.
  • Maintain administrative resources and tools including deal trackers and industry contact list.
  • Assist in coordinating all aspects of acquisition integration and value creation post close.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting or other related field. Master’s degree or MBA preferred.
  • Solid understanding of financial statements, basic accounting standards, financial planning and analysis (“FP&A”) and general business acumen across all corporate disciplines.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in investment banking, private equity, corporate development, transaction advisory, or M&A experience.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to comprehend and handle large volumes of data, synthesize data into meaningful analyses, and summarize key facts and conclusions into a concise and persuasive manner.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organization and project management skills.
  • Expert level competence in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

Base Salary: $90k-125k*

*The provided base salary range is used nationally. The rate offered is compliant with federal/local regulations and may vary by experience, certification/education, market conditions, location, etc.
