Position Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Engineer to join our team responsible for oversight of the design, construction, and commissioning of dairy biogas anaerobic lagoon digesters. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of civil engineering, as well as experience in project and construction management.

Core Responsibilities:

· Drive technical communication related to construction, ensuring seamless collaboration between internal stakeholders, on-site contractors, and the design engineer.

· Conduct thorough quality control reviews of Issue for Construction (IFC) plan sets, guaranteeing precision, accuracy, and adherence to permit requirements. This includes, but is not limited to, plans for anaerobic lagoon digesters, wastewater pipeline, and biogas collection pipelines.

· Proactively communicate technical construction constraints to internal and external stakeholders, including the Aemetis Team and the Engineer of Record.

· Provide expert support to the Construction Management Team, ensuring seamless coordination and problem-solving.

· Spearhead the coordination and arrangement of all third-party quality assessments, including geotechnical compaction, concrete slump/break tests, and structural rebar and epoxy inspections.

· Organize and manage construction site surveying tasks, encompassing stake layout, addressing contractor inquiries, and ensuring that stakes positioned align with the staking map supplied by the designated engineer.

· Anticipate potential conflicts with project progress and provide innovative solutions to address issues with external or internal resources.

· Immediately notify internal stakeholders of any site or construction discrepancies to facilitate prompt resolution.

· Implement and maintain a comprehensive construction schedule tracking system, accurately capturing start/end dates and durations for each scope of work.

· Compile a weekly report for internal stakeholders, summarizing completed QA/QC actions, upcoming schedule updates, and highlighting potential construction risks concerning timeline and buildability.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or a related field.

· 5+ years of experience in the design, construction, and commissioning of anaerobic digestion systems.

· Experience with dairy biogas anaerobic lagoon digester systems is a bonus.

· Proficient in project management software such as Microsoft Project.

· Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.

· Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented work environment.

· Must be able to travel to project sites within a 30 mile radius.
