Job Summary:
This is a shop mechanic role with possibilities of night and/ or weekend field work performing PM's and DOT inspections.
We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for repairing and maintaining diesel engines and heavy equipment. Your expertise in diesel engine repair and equipment maintenance will contribute to the smooth operation of our customers fleets.
Duties:
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on diesel engines and heavy equipment
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues
- Conduct engine tune-ups and oil changes
- Troubleshoot and repair faulty components, such as brakes, shocks, struts, and hydraulics
- Operate heavy equipment, including cranes and forklifts, as needed
- Maintain accurate records of repairs and services performed
- Adhere to safety protocols and ensure a clean and organized work environment
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or similar role
- Knowledge of DOT guidelines and the ability to perform a proper DOT inspection
- Proficiency with different scan tools and oem programs to help with diagnostics
- Strong knowledge of diesel engine repair and maintenance
-Strong knowledge of air brake systems
- Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues
- Experience operating heavy equipment, such as cranes and forklifts
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
-Class A CDL preferred but not required

Pay: $30.00- 45.00 per hour DOE
