KOMO Machine, Inc. is a subsidiary of the well-known multi-national corporation PMC Global Inc., Sun Valley, CA. KOMO designs and manufactures high quality precision computer numerically controlled (CNC) routers and machining centers.

We are seeking a Software Engineer to become an integral part of our Lakewood, NJ team This is a unique opportunity to establish a means to answer Komo’s growing demand for software development. With the support of our electrical, application and IT engineers you will utilize your expertise and skills to develop solutions and in turn a new arm of our Engineering Department. This position offers creative freedom and problem solving in collaborative environment. This is an office based position due to the critical nature of interacting with our team and developing your work in our R&D lab. Remote candidates will not be considered.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in software development, computer engineering, or other related fields
  • BS Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Software Engineering
  • Must be able or willing to write in C++ based on previous experience with Java, Python, or other programming languages
  • Must be familiar with VB6 for the purpose of migrating proprietary code
  • Design, develop, test and maintain CNC control interface and proprietary associated applications including end user productivity tools, system monitoring, preventative maintenance programs and ERP interfaces
  • Design, develop, test and maintain tools for internal sales, administration and manufacturing teams
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills. Must encourage and incorporate feedback from a multi-disciplinary team through channels such as design review presentations and end user discussions
  • Create flowcharts and user guides for new and existing programs
  • Provide remote customer support related to software issues

Preferred:

  • Previous work experience or background in machinery, automation systems, control systems or robotics
  • Familiar with Fanuc or other CNC control systems
  • Web and mobile development experience
