Purchasing Assistant

Job DescriptionJob Description

Essential Functions and Duties:

• Assist Purchasing Team with daily activities / tasks.
• Manage PO’s issued by Buyers, confirm pricing and lead times, perform follow-up and maintain all documents.
• Monitor open PO’s for Raw Materials and Packaging Components. 
• Coordinate with Accounting Team on invoices – Perform three-way match on invoices (PO to Actual Receipt, to invoices).
• Follow up on open orders as needed.
• Provide copies of purchase orders and weekly inbound shipments & C.O.A.'s to receiving personnel.
• Manage non-conformance log and disposal log of raw materials and packaging.  Coordinate (RMA’s) or the return of rejected ingredients and materials to Vendors.
• Attend daily production meeting and weekly co-pack customer meetings.
• Manage tank farm daily readings and report variances to management.
• Assist in setting up new vendors.
• Assist in monitoring MIN/MAX inventory levels for ingredient and packaging materials.
• Update and maintain Item Master information in system.
• Other duties as assigned and back up others when required.
