Designer (Autodesk Inventor )

Wilkes Barre, PA, United States , (Remote)

Duration: 06-09+ Months

Salary range: $25-30/ hr.

JOB SUMMARY:

Autodesk Inventor Screening Questions

  • How many years of experience do you have using Autodesk Inventor and when did you most recently use it?
  • Do you have experience developing 3D models in Autodesk Inventor?

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Development of as-built 3D models to a fabrication level of detail.
  • Develop 3D models in Inventor.
  • Develop mechanical and facility site layouts in both 2D and 3D environments.
  • Proficient in interpreting engineering drawings and translating into 3D design model
  • Read and interpret other technical drawings and specifications.
  • Coordinate with multi-discipline team, technical leaders and project manager to incorporate design information and client standards into the construction documents.

Required Experience:

  • Associates or bachelor’s degree in engineering/technology.
  • Experience with Autodesk Inventor software, recent release:
  • 1-2 years of current inventor experience on substations or other large campus type work – direct modeling, not engineering or managerial.
  • 1-2 years of recent inventor experience in general that can report to one of our office
  • Knowledge of inventor, broad experience with multiple Autodesk platforms with civil3d and Revit preferred.
  • Strong understanding of sketches, planes, and 3D modeling capabilities of Inventor
  • Creating version or iteration assemblies that can be modified without changing the original.
  • Strong attention to file standards, naming conventions, and model cleanliness
  • Collaborating with other modelers on a single assembly.
  • Understanding of all constraining methods for 3D and 2D and checking Degrees of freedom
  • Attention to detail on iProperties.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings
  • Comfort with Design Assistant
