QA Analyst

The primary functions of the QA Analyst are to use their experience and expertise to create test plans, test software operational functions, verify the accuracy and consistency of company products, and support user escalations in an efficient and timely manner. The QA Analyst follows prepared checklists and creates test scenarios to verify the completeness and accuracy of assigned products. Quality Assurance Testers are responsible for completing assigned projects and for helping with other projects within the team and the department.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform basic software testing responsibilities for assigned applications.
• Document QA and use cases for eCommerce site functional and technical enhancements.
• Document QA and use cases for Oracle NetSuite customizations and perform use case validation.
• Run test case scenarios for assigned applications.
• Assist with the update and execution of all regression, integration, and system testing.
• Perform other duties as needed or as assigned.
• Prioritize tasks and adhere to deadlines to meet department objectives and individual performance metrics in assigned projects.
• Analyze business requirements to develop test scenarios and testing scripts.
• Quickly learn and understand front-end applications to ensure quality testing is executed.
• Support defect management by creating defects, providing information to app dev on expected outcomes, and retesting when assigned.
• Participate in defective triage meetings.
• Learn, understand, and follow established QA procedures.
• Update and maintain traceability matrices to ensure test coverage.
• Provide accurate reports of test progress to the QA Leadership team and follow up with the development team on defects.
• Participate in root cause analysis discussions for all defects.
• Execute test scripts accurately and efficiently.
• Capture and communicate the results of testing accurately and clearly.
• Proactively follow up with QA management on issues and escalations, providing suggestions for possible resolutions.
• Collaborate with members of Business Analysis, Application Development, and Project Management to ensure timely completion of testing plans.
• Provide input into the creation of necessary test data prior to test execution.
• Meet completion deadlines while ensuring accurate test execution.

Education and/or Experience:

Competencies:

• GitHub branch and deployment experience.
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities under tight deadlines to ensure maximum productivity.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to train associates on documented processes.
• Adept at managing multiple concurrent tasks with constant interruptions, working with minimal supervision, and being a collaborative team player.
• Experience using Microsoft Office 365 products (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Visio, or equivalent).
• Some domestic travel to any of the (10) API branches.
