Job Title: Senior Platform Architect (Middleware)
Location: Hybrid in O’Fallon, MO, 63368
Duration: 2 years contract + Extension

Overview
Infrastructure Design at the client is a team of Platform Architects and Engineers responsible for the analysis and design of the infrastructure framework to fit the application, platform or system needs in-line with Client's operational standards and principles.

All About You:
·        Advanced knowledge of Web application architecture and project delivery.
·        Intermediate knowledge of how the Java Virtual Machine works, how Garbage collection works.
·        Intermediate knowledge of load balancers and web application firewalls
·        Intermediate knowledge of network and operating system principles
·        Vast knowledge of middleware technologies (Web Servers, Application Servers, Queue Managers, Messaging, Caching)
·        Working knowledge of Database technologies & Working knowledge of cloud technologies

Manager’s Note:
·        Will work with the infrastructure design team.
·        Be given requirements to come up with design for the infrastructure design team.
·        Responsible for design only. Not build
·        Experience with middleware (design, engineering or admin) Example (JVM, WebSphere, Jboss, MQ, web servers) and networking, (load balancing, infrastructure, firewalls etc.)
·        Ideal, someone who is a Senior level engineer who wants to design. understand the organization (product team, development team, infrastructure team, management team) technical relationship between middleware and networking and want to do design.
·        Someone with a great personality who can work with all the level of technical groups to senior management groups is intuitive and want to know how this works and put a design together
·        Hybrid, on site 3 days a week.  Can be on site day 1.
