Position Responsibilities :
  • Repairs and maintains press tools, die repairs.
  • Creates work orders for repairs, PMs and fills out daily work time sheets.
  • Attends breakdowns, identifying fault and problem solving at the press with minimal downtime to aid production.
  • Evaluates each job and determines if it can be repaired in the press or must be removed to Tool Crib for essential maintenance and repair work.
  • Estimate length of time required to complete a job and likely consequences of failure to complete work within required timescales.
  • Identify and escalate any activity that has the potential to cause harm or damage. Report breakdown root causes, equipment faults and concerns to management.
  • Support new project tooling from commissioning stages through to start of production.
  • Document and update die history and other work records. Carry out planned Preventative Maintenance.
  • Be actively involved in improvement activities to support the achievement of departmental and company objectives.
  • Ensure all personal protective equipment is identified, always available, correctly used and all associated problems are reported to management.
  • Plan projects or subtasks so they may be tracked and presented.
  • Submit items needed for repairs through the purchasing process.

Required Experience:
  • Previous experience with repairing and maintaining press tools, and die
  • Understanding manufacturing processes.
  • Understanding of production costs to include waste, downtime, scrap and re-work.
  • Practical hands-on approach to problem solving.
  • Experience of working to tight production targets.

REFERRAL BONUS PROGRAM:
