Overview:
The Electro-Mechanical Technician Level 4 plays a critical role in ensuring the reliable operation of Automatic Guided Vehicles (AGVs) at our Fayetteville, TN site. As a senior technician, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and performing preventative and predictive maintenance on AGVs. This position requires a high level of expertise and the ability to handle complex technical tasks related to AGV systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Repair and Maintenance: Perform repair and maintenance tasks on AGVs, including calibrating sensors, adjusting or replacing components, lubricating parts, and troubleshooting hydraulic systems.
- Preventative Maintenance: Execute preventative maintenance routines, complete necessary documentation, and adhere to established procedures.
- Electrical Troubleshooting: Use electrical test equipment to diagnose and resolve issues in electrical circuitry ranging from 5V to 480V.
- Work Order Management: Create and close work orders in the asset management system, documenting labor hours, maintenance performed, and parts used.
- Problem Resolution: Troubleshoot AGV problems efficiently, understanding and utilizing resources needed for resolution.
- Spare Parts Management: Locate and track spare parts from inventory to ensure timely repairs and maintenance.
- Complex Testing: Conduct complex maintenance and equipment testing to verify that AGVs meet operational specifications.
- Customer Training: Assist in training customers on the operation of AGVs, providing support and guidance as needed.
- Service Calls: Respond to service calls, correct equipment failures and faults, and take appropriate steps to resolve issues.
- Problem Identification: Identify and address problems as they occur, ensuring effective solutions and minimal downtime.
Qualifications:
- Education: High School diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree or vocational technical training preferred.
- Experience: Demonstrated senior-level knowledge in electro-mechanical systems with proven experience in AGV maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Certifications: Specialized skill training or certification preferred.
- Customer Interaction: Ability to maintain professional communication with onsite customer leadership, Dematic leadership, and technicians.
- Leadership: Experience in leading projects and teams, and directing day-to-day operations and tasks for the onsite maintenance team.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 pounds, with occasional lifting of wheeled dollies loaded up to 100 pounds. Must be capable of bending, stretching, climbing ladders, and working in varied environments (e.g., small spaces, dust, fumes, temperature extremes, and uneven surfaces).
