DESCRIPTION OF YOUR DREAM JOB:

 

• Job Title: Pump Mechanic

• Location: Southwest Central Houston area

• Pay: $29.71 - $44.42 per hour

• Hours: M-F 7am-3:30pm w/ OT

• Duration: Temp-to-hire

• Description of Duties: Southwest Central Houston area company seeks a Pump Mechanic/Inspector. Job duties: Disassemble and inspect and reassemble pumps. Operate and tend a variety of machine tools, such as lathes, drill presses, milling machines, grinders, acetylene torches, impact wrenches etc. to machine, fabricate or repair metalwork according to production specifications. Also utilize various metrology equipment including mics, calipers, dial indicators etc. to ensure specification compliance. Apply appropriate machining processes to repair pumps and rotating equipment as specified by work orders, blueprints, sketches or charts.

• Requirements: 5 or more year’s maintenance experience working with pumps or other rotating equipment. Must have experience in the tear down, repair and rebuild of pumps or related components. Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability is required. Manual turning or milling experience is preferred however not required. Welding experience is preferred however not required.
